• The primary aim of this study is to establish if there is an association between obstetric hemorrhage and HIV infection, and whether this association is influenced by the use of different antiretroviral drug regimen


• To determine prevalence HIV infection amongst cases of obstetric hemorrhage

• To identify characteristics and determinants of obstetric hemorrhages according to HIV status

• To determine whether the use of different ARV regimen is associated with increasing risk of obstetric hemorrhage
