Abstract

To identify changes in attitudes of women after they have been trained as breastfeeding peer counsellors.   The following will be determined:

  • Attitudes and perceptions towards donating breast milk.
  • The number of women who would consider donating breast milk before and after training.
  • The number of women who believe donor milk should be available for orphans and other vulnerable infants in the community before and after training.
  • The number of women who would consider setting up a small, low cost donor milk bank in the community before and after training.
