Abstract


The aim of the study is to identify the complex challenges that face the surgeon who encounters a patient with a traumatic chylothorax. The study will adopt a critical view of the controversies pertaining to the topic, paying particular attention to the diagnostic dilemma and therapeutic options in the surgeon’s armamentarium. Due to the rarity of the condition, and the difficulties posed in its management, the modern surgeon needs a sound approach which this study aims to provide.
