Abstract


  This study is a clinical audit of patients presenting to the urogynaecology unit at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital, Durban. The aim of the study is to evaluate the aetiology, predisposing factors and distribution of the different types of UI presenting to this referral unit. Investigations with regard to the different types of UI and outcome management will also be evaluated. Information will be obtained from the Hospital database using a specific data sheet formulated for this study. Analysis will be done in conjunction with the biostatistics department. Results and formulated recommendations inferred from the study will be useful in reviewing the unit’s protocol and policies and changes will be made to enhance delivery of better quality health care to the patients.
