Abstract


In this study, pili formation and architecture and mtp gene expression of the most predominant strain families of Mycobacterium tuberculosis will be studied in a pulmonary epithelial model infected by organisms grown in the presence and absence of oxygen. The outcomes of the clustering strains will be contrasted with the outcomes of the non-clustering strains. Pili formation and architecture will be examined by Electron Microscopy and Real-time PCR will be used for gene expression analysis.
