This is a follow up of a health study conducted at the Settlers’ Primary School in Merebank, in 2001, which looked at the prevalence of asthma and its association with ambient air pollution. The study found that pollutants were associated with adverse respiratory outcomes, despite pollution levels being within the South African and international guidelines
